New creates a new document and displays it. It is the first step in creating a calculation, search or observing plan report.
After New is selected, the document types are listed in a submenu. Select the type of document that you wish to create. When a new document (except for Observing Log documents) is created, the Location is set to the Favorite Location (see Location Manager) and other values are initialized with default values for the document type as specified in Preferences.
