The leftmost panel shows the folders on your system. Select the folder where your document resides.
The rightmost pane shows files in the selected folder. The files are filtered by the File Type dropdown list. All Files (*.*) shows all files in the folder, i.e. the list of files is not filtered.
The File Type dropdown is a list in the lower right corner shows the document types supported by Deep-Sky Planner. Select the document type that you wish to open.
File name allows you to type the name of the file that you want to open. If you type the name of a document that does not exist, an error message is displayed. If you try to open a document that is already open, an error message is displayed.
When you save a document, the folder and document type are remembered so that they appear in this dialog box the next time that it is used to open a document of the same type.
