Activation Error Messages

Online Activation

The following messages may occur during online activation. Error messages are shown in red, success messages in blue. In the event of an error during online activation, you can activate your license using the e-mail service.

Message

Meaning

Execution of request terminated with unknown error. Please check your Internet connection.

The Activator cannot reach the server. You may have no Internet connection.

The server cannot be reached. It may be offline or your computer may not be online.

The Activator cannot reach the server. You may have no Internet connection.

Activation service is offline. Please try again later or activate by email.

Your Internet connection is working but the activation service is offline for maintenance.

Error 1: The activation request could not be processed - the server may be down.

Your Internet connection is working but the database on the server is offline.

Error 2: The activation request is invalid.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 3: The computer code is invalid.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 4: The product key is invalid.

Your product key is required to authorize an activation. Your product key doesn't have enough characters or it contains invalid characters. Please see Product Key to correct the issue.

Error 5: The product key was not found - the server may be down.

There is a problem contacting the server. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 6: The product key was not found. Please verify that you have entered the product key correctly.

Your product key is required to authorize an activation. Your product key was not found and may have a typographical error. Please see Product Key to correct the issue.

Error 7: The product key is not valid for this product. Please verify that you have entered the correct product key for the product.

Your product key is required to authorize an activation. The key you entered is not valid for this version of Deep-Sky Planner. Please see Product Key to correct the issue.

Error 8: The product key is no longer valid.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 20: The activation request is invalid.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 21: Activation could not be processed - the server may be down.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 22: Activation could not be processed - the server may be down.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 23: Too many online activations have been issued for this product key.

The number of online activation requests is limited. Please report this to Knightware with an explanation of your circumstances.

Error 24: The activation could not be processed - the server may be down.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Error 25: The activation could not be processed - the server may be down.

Internal error. Please report this to Knightware.

Congratulations - your software has been activated! You may continue using Deep-Sky Planner, and you are authorized to use the Community web site. "Please see Help | Community in Deep-Sky Planner.
