Telescope/DSC Information shows information reported by your telescope or DSC and that of your Favorite Location in Deep-Sky Planner. Agreement between these values is particularly important for maintaining best accuracy for the Slew To and Sync To operations.
Important: You must run Deep-Sky Planner with elevated privilieges to change computer time.
Driver
Description of the ASCOM driver currently in use. ASCOM is a separate software package that is freely available for download from http://ascom-standards.org/downloads.html. Directions for installing the ASCOM platform are provided on the ASCOM web site. This software package contains communication drivers for many popular telescopes and DSCs.

Date/Time
Current universal date and time as reported by the telescope/DSC; the format is always 24 hour universal time; blank if no date/time is reported.
Set the current computer time to that of the connected device; you should choose this option if your device's time is highly accurate (e.g., includes GPS capability); blank if the device does not report or accept date/time.

Latitude Longitude
Current latitude and longitude as reported by the telescope/DSC; the format is determined by data formatting properties; blank if no location data is reported.
Set the latitude & longitude of the Favorite Location to that of the connected device; you should choose this option if your device's latitude & longitude are highly accurate (e.g., includes GPS capability); blank if the device does not report or accept location data.
