System Requirements

Hardware and Software Requirements

You need the following hardware and operating system software to run Deep-Sky Planner:

▪PC with 32- or 64- bit edition of Windows 10 or 64-bit edition of Windows 11, including the latest Windows Updates from Microsoft

▪Microsoft Edge

▪1 GB RAM for 32-bit edition of Windows 10 or 2 GB RAM for 64-bit Windows 10, 4 GB RAM for Windows 11

▪Installation requires about 546 MB of hard disk space

▪DirectX 11.2 graphics device with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver with minimum screen resolution of 1024 x 768.

▪a pointing device (mouse) is recommended but not required

▪Internet connection is recommended for updates and some product features, but is not required

▪Serial port is required for SQM-LR or some telescope/DSC connections

▪Ethernet port or wireless NIC is required for SQM-LE connection

▪Wireless NIC is required for WiFi connection to digital setting circles and ASCOM Alpaca devices

▪USB port is required for SQM-LU connection
